Pan seared Wagyu Topside with Potatoes

Beef is a luxury in Singapore. I find that it is very expensive. On one occasion, in my favorite Cold Storage, I happened to pass by Wagyu beef on sale! And take note, that the expiration is still like 3-4 days away. Craving for beef, I decided to buy. Something quick I thought, so I smothered it with salt, pepper, a bit of paprika and sprinkled it with bits of dried parsley, put it in the fridge and left overnight. The next day, I just pan seared it and as I cut it, the meat is so soft and tender! Goes the same when eating it, it was succulent but I find that I made it a bit saltier this time. 😦

As it is dinner and since rice is not a good partner, I paired it up with potatoes with their skins still on (the way I like any cooked potatoes, anyway they are washed) and I stir fried it with garlic, fresh celery leaves and dried rosemary, plus salt and pepper of course.

Dinner time.
