For people on the go, quick food and beverage are especially helpful when one is rushing to work. I am fascinated by those take away coffee carts and stalls in most western countries (well, yes Singapore has those toasts and kopi stores) but I personally like those lattes and cappuccinos and breads especially when you can grab em quickly.
I didn’t know they opened up in Singapore and one friend mentioned about it as they also love their coffee. So I said, I should give it a visit. This one is in Bugis, located near the street market.
I find that the store is quite big and spacious for a Pie Face. I probably haven’t seen a shop size like this when I was in Melb.
We got a Minced Beef Pie and the Chunky Beef Pie and also ordered for sweet, desserty types: Chocolate Mousse, Butterscotch and Lemon. For the savory pies, we actually loved both of it, the beef is tender and the pie is baked well, something that’s nice to munch. For the dessert, I love all of it except for the lemon which we find as super sour! Sourness that we could not tolerate at all.
We also ordered for some coffee. The coffee is rich with dark chocolatey flavour, I am guessing it is Robusta, something of that variety. We got the hot and frappe type.
We find that we can come back in Pie Face, as it is a place where you can get a decent beef pie and given that the coffee is nice too.
