In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Celebrate Good Times.”
You receive some wonderful, improbable, hoped-for good news. How do you celebrate?
We long hold dearly to our plans and dreams which give us a drive towards something, we embrace it in our hearts and minds. Our daily tasks, our attitude would then gravitate around our aspirations. We would do what it takes to fulfill our personal agendas and try to face any impediments head on. And eventually, when we got to the end point of that goal, the smell of success and satisfaction is somewhat sublime and there is nothing we would like to do than share the news with people that matters the most. Personally, my joy to success, my happiness to achieving my goals be it short term or long term are only shared with people that are dear to me, that are close to my heart, those that have been there hearing my stories throughout the journey (because of course, those close to me are the only ones I share it with). So then, there would be no one in this world to whom I will celebrate it with than these people. Simple celebrations would sum it up. Maybe my own homecooked meals to be shared with them, going out to a laid back bar having a cold beer in our hands and nibbling on some finger foods and chatting the night away or basically going out to a food place of my choice, that which offers soothing, delectable food. If I want to celebrate myself for it the lone way, I would probably just buy myself a thing I fancy – a shirt, a purse? Or even treating myself to a nice coffee. So yes, moments like this are worth celebrating – a sweet and simple way.
